Terms of sale and use
Effective 4 August 2026
These terms explain the Football 501 Pro purchase and licence. They do not reduce your statutory consumer rights.

Football 501 is operated by William Wootton, a sole trader trading as Football 501.

2. What you are buying
Football 501 Pro is a recreational, browser-based football trivia game. A purchase provides a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Pro version on up to three of your own devices.
“Lifetime access” means that the advertised purchase is a one-time payment with no recurring subscription for the current Football 501 Pro product. It does not guarantee that third-party browsers, hosting services or device platforms will operate forever, or that every future product or feature will be included.
3. Price and payment
The Founding Edition price is £4.99, including VAT where applicable. The total payable is shown before you confirm payment. Stripe Managed Payments and Link provide checkout, act as merchant of record, handle applicable indirect taxes and provide transaction-level support.
4. Delivery and activation
Digital access is supplied immediately after successful payment. You receive an activation code during the purchase flow and, where email delivery is enabled, by email. The code can be recovered using the email address supplied at checkout. Contact us if access is not delivered.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, including if you have activated the product. Refunded access may be deactivated. After 14 days, refunds remain available where required by law, including where digital content is faulty and we cannot put it right. See the Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may use Football 501 Pro for personal, non-commercial play. You must not sell or share an activation code, circumvent device limits, interfere with the service, use automated access that harms availability, or copy and redistribute the app or its database as a competing product.
7. Football data and third-party rights
Appearance, goal and nationality records are compiled from Wikimedia sources and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. We welcome correction reports but cannot promise that every historic record is available. Football 501 is unofficial and is not affiliated with the Premier League or any club. Club names and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners.
8. Availability and updates
We use reasonable care to keep the app available and the data accurate. We may correct data, maintain security, change features or temporarily suspend access for maintenance. We will not remove paid core access without a valid reason.
9. Your statutory rights
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires paid digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, a price reduction or refund. Nothing in these terms excludes those rights.
10. Liability
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care. Football 501 Pro is supplied for domestic and private use, so we are not responsible for business losses. Nothing limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how purchase, licence and device information is handled.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms for legal, security or product reasons. Material changes will apply prospectively and will not remove rights already purchased. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
